Nigeria: Police confirm 18 bodies evacuated from river

Lagos, Nigeria – The police in Nigeria’s Southeastern state of Anambra has put the number of bodies recovered from a river in the state, where they were found floating on Saturday, at 18.

The local media Monday quoted state police spokesman Emeka Chukwuemeka as saying the 18 bodies were removed from the Ezu River in Amansea, a border town with Enugu, on Sunday.
